War Horse Author & Former teacher Michael Morpurgo Returns to Oswestry for Annual "Festival of the World" along with other literary treats.

The former teacher was present to talk about his new book, an anthology that he wrote with his wife - "Where My Wellies Take Me"


War horse, the most famous of his 120+ books is a beautiful story of a horse and its owner Battling to survive World War One.  Not only has this book been turned into an Oscar nominated film and a sell out stage show, it has been translated into 45 different languages.


The Director of the the festival, John Waine, was most pleased with the turnout, stating people from as far afield as North Wales & Chester had attended with Mr Morpurgo speaking of his influences, including Oswestry poet Wilfred Owen, and a folk song to finish.
