For as long as I can remember I have had sketch pads and even school books full of scribbles of diving bombers and whizzing fighters of flaming wrecks and triumphant Spitfires. I have driven myself to capture these aircraft in ever greater detail but also capture the awesome vistas they navigate through.

Firing pass Tornado Low and Fast Shropshire Beau Lonely Vigil - Sunderland Harrier Sunset
2
My work consists of aircraft portraits those classic aircraft from the Red Barons fragile DR1 Triplane to the majesty of supersonic Concorde. I primarily use oil paint; a medium flexible to the accurate portrayal of the facetted planes of these streamlined beauties and able to capture the elemental beauty of the sky itself. On canvas or board I strive to capture the historical moment. These paintings are no gentle airshow flypast but an historical reality of time and place.
